Studying at EBMS

Programs and Curricular Focus

Through close lecturer-student contact and classes in small groups, European Business and Management School provides a professional academic atmosphere to meet students' individual needs. This ensures permanent interaction so that the students will obtain a firm grasp of the materials offered.

To prevent business theory from remaining abstract and inapplicable, syllabi are based on the case study method. This practical approach to learning involves the study and solving of actual problems as they arise in the business world. Courses and syllabi are developed, monitored and adapted to the demands of the marketplace, with the assistance of an Advisory Council composed by prominent personalities from the business community.

A typical Master program at EBMS consists of thirty courses spread over six terms of five weeks each. Full-time students may complete their Graduate program in one academic year; part-time students spread their Graduate program over two or three years.

In addition, an educational system allowing students the flexibility of entering in October, November, January, February, March, May, July, or August is used. Privately taught courses and individual coaching are also available.

EBMS encourages students to improve their language skills by choosing elective courses in several European languages. Amongst others, French, German and Spanish can be offered.

Besides the Master of Business Administration program (specializations in e-Business, Global Banking & Financial Markets, Information Systems, and International Management are available), EBMS also offers a Master of Arts in Business Communication and Public Relations, a Master of Science in Information Communication Technology, a Master of Arts in Tourism and Hospitality Management, and a Master of Science in European Business and Management.

Students and the MBA experience

At European Business and Management School, students are taught in a pragmatic way with the use of simulation techniques and up-to-date case studies. They also learn to think strategically when making decisions, to empathize with their peers, to inspire teamwork and team building, and to contribute to the success of a project.

Thinking creatively and independently by questioning, rather than blindly accepting subject material is strongly encouraged. Throughout the academic year, students are given a number of assignments and tests so that their progress can be assessed.

The average graduate student is 27 years old, and is holder of an undergraduate degree in a variety of fields like engineering, law, social sciences, etc.
